Over 150 of these employees are based at the company’s headquarters in the Elliniko suburb of Athens, Greece and the rest are either at sea or based in the affiliated company’s offices in China, Korea, Poland, USA, Russia, Ukraine, South Africa and Swizerland.
EST employees form not only the company’s nucleus but also its biggest investment. EST’s aim is to maintain an inspiring and happy working environment for its employees; one where goals, targets and objectives may be attained in a collegiate, team spirited and efficient manner. This is pursued by yearly organizing the Employees’ Satisfaction Surveys, investing in practices where employees’ concerns and needs are addressed and resolved and by placing great priority on continuous training and professional development of our employees.
EST has also succeeded in establishing and maintaining a strong integrity and ethics code among its employees. This has been achieved by the management’s genuine devotion to promoting values-based management, ethical leadership and raising awareness with respect to the company’s responsibility in the community and society at large. It is not a coincidence that EST has been one of the founding members of the European Business Ethics Network (EBEN GR) and that currently the Managing Director of EST serves as a Treasurer of the institute’s Board of Directors.
